Greensburg animal shelter over capacity, 6 dogs could be euthanized

Shelter says there is an urgent need for adoptions

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The Greensburg Decatur Animal Shelter is over max capacity and hoping the community can help.

The shelter says there are six dogs that are in urgent need of adoption or they could be euthanized.

It’s a final plea by the shelter as those six dogs must find a home by March 19.

“All of these dogs are fully Vetted, which means they are spayed or neutered, UTD on all vaccines including Rabies, flea and tick treated, dewormed, and Heartworm Negative. All these dogs are also dog/kid friendly, and some cat friendly as well,” the shelter said.

The shelter said now is the time if you’ve been considering adoption.

“We also offer Fostering. The shelter has sent over 60 dogs to rescues in the past 2 months, they are simply overloaded like so many shelter's right now,” they added.

The Greensburg Decatur County Animal Shelter is located at 1635 West Park Road.
