(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Greensburg FFA members hosted a petting zoo for young children on Thursday.
The annual program allows elementary students to see and learn about pigs, beef cattle, dairy cattle, horses, rabbits, sheep and other livestock.
“It is great to see how happy the kids get when they see animals, and we tell them about the animals,” said FFA member Madelyn Bedel.
The petting zoo is part of Greensburg FFA’s programming during National FFA Week.
FFA member Carlie Case said, “Some of these students don’t get to see farm animals up close so it is really good to bring this opportunity to them.”
Despite the cold weather, the FFA members have also driven their tractors to school this week.
