(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The Community Healthcare Clinic of Decatur County (CHC) will begin offering mental health services next week.
It will be available to those who are uninsured or underinsured and meet income qualifications.
The expansion of mental health services was made possible through a grant from the Decatur County Community Foundation.
The CHC team will provide specific mental health clinics for those who are in need of resources and support.
The first clinic will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 6. CHC is located at 1821 North Broadway Street which is within the Rural King Plaza.
The cost of a visit for a patient is $10. Appointments are encouraged and can be made by calling 812-663-7707, walk-ins will be accepted as time allows.
CHC added that 30 percent of local adults have reported a concern for or are experiencing a mental health issue.
Across the state, 24 percent of adults have reported some sort of mental illness while nearly half of Indiana high schoolers have reported feeling depression in the past year.
The mental health clinics at CHC are now in addition to their medical and dental services.
