Greensburg Rotary installs basketball tree at Decatur County Park

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The Greensburg Rotary Club has installed a metal basketball tree at the Decatur County Park. 

The project was made possible through a $6,000 matching grant provided by Rotary International District Foundation. 

It was spearheaded by Rotarians Steve Freeman and Lori Feldbauer while Rotary members Rob DeHoff, Larry Moore, and Beverly Moore helped with the installation. 

“This project reflects Rotary’s mission of creating lasting, positive impact in our community,” said Project Chair Steve Freeman. “We wanted to provide something that would be both interactive and enjoyable for families visiting the park.”

The custom metal structure features multiple basketball hoops arranged in a tree-like design and can be used by all ages.

Club members expressed appreciation to Decatur County officials, park personnel, volunteers, and community partners who supported the effort and helped bring the project to completion.

The Decatur County Park is located at 1650 West Park Road in Greensburg.
