(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Greensburg senior Madison Gould has been named the Lilly Scholarship winner for Decatur County.
Gould will receive full tuition plus required fees to any Indiana college or university.
She was selected from 60 nominees and the application process involved scores being judged outside of the community.
Gould was one of four Greensburg seniors who were named finalists, including Mya Comer, Brenley Jameson and Chloe Dick. The fifth semi-finalist was South Decatur senior Rori Phelps.
Each semi-finalist will receive a $5,000 scholarship from the Decatur County Community Foundation . This year, additional funding for the DCCF Community Scholarships is being contributed by Lynda Smith in memory of her late husband, William O. (Bill) Smith.
“These young ladies managed through a rigorous selection process because of their excellent character, values and leadership skills,” said DCCF Scholarships Manager Jenny Schebler. “We are very proud of them all.”
Madison is the daughter of Greg and Danielle Gould of Greensburg.
