(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A Greensburg woman donated her time and talents to a local community organization.
The Decatur County Community Garden was seeking assistance in obtaining a harvest shelf.
Emili Jones saw the need and decided to step up. She build it herself and a friend helped install the metal roof.
“I saw the post where they were asking for help, I knew it was a project that I could do and channel recent stressors into a purpose,” Jones told The 812.

Jones says the harvest shelf serves as a quiet statement that there is enough produce to share for others in the community.
This isn’t the first time Jones has stepped up for the community. Click here to see what she did last fall.
The Decatur County Community Garden is located at the health department on Ireland Street. It was created to increase access to fresh food, promote sustainable practices, and strengthen community ties.
