Greensburg woman preparing free community meal for today

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A Greensburg woman is preparing a free meal right now for anyone who wants to attend. 

Emilee Jones and her friends are all pitching in for the meal which will take place tonight.

“As someone who understands what it means to struggle, I wanted to step up and give back to the community that provided my family with help, while growing up,” Emilee told The 812. 

The free community meal will take place from 4-7 p.m. at the Branch Coffee Gathering Place in Greensburg on Friday. 

The menu will consist of chili, chicken noodle soup, potato soup, rolls, cornbread, cookies and water. 

Jones added that there are carryout options for those who are unable to stay.
