Group to wave flags over I-74 in Greensburg Monday

The event attracted more than 70 people last year

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Community members are invited to a public display of patriotism on Memorial Day in Greensburg.

The tradition of flying flags on Moscow Road over I-74 began several years ago by Greensburg resident Robin Meyer who once stood on the bridge by himself.

His family surprised him one year by showing up to also wave flags from the bridge.

It is now a community event where anybody who can show up to wave the Red, White and Blue. The event attracts people of all ages including families with young kids.

The event will take place from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and the bridge is located near 2071 North County Road 100 West in Greensburg.

The group also holds these flag flying demonstrations on July 4, September 11 and Veterans Day.
