(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A patriotic display took place on an I-74 overpass in Decatur County on Friday, July 4.
Approximately 100 people arrived to wave American flags on the Moscow Road Bridge as interstate drivers honked their horns.
This event is held every July 4, Memorial Day, September 11 and Veterans Day.
It was created by Robin Meyer several years ago and it continues to grow.
“This is one small way, for one short hour, that we show our patriotism and thankfulness to the greatest nation on earth. We leave politics out of this event to show that we are one nation, under God, and we are indivisible,” Meyer said.
Meyer hopes this unique tradition catches on at other overpasses across Southeast Indiana.
