Have storm damage in Dearborn Co? Here's how to report it

(LAWRENCBURG, Ind.) – Those who have storm damage to their homes or buildings in Dearborn County are asked to report it. 

You can file the report with the Dearborn County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) by calling (812) 537-3971 Option 2 or emailing EMA@dearborncounty.in.gov.  

“If you have structural damage to your home and need assistance from The American Red Cross please contact our office at the information above and we will help arrange that,” EMA Director Jason Sullivan said. 

Officials currently do not believe there are any fatalities or injuries in Dearborn County as a result of the afternoon storm.

“At this time emergency responders have been working to verify everyone is safe and accounted for along with ensuring roadways and utilities are secured,” Sullivan said. 

There is a significant amount of utility line damage, tree damage and some structural damage throughout the county. 

Sullivan said crews are working full-force to restore electricity and clean up the damages. 

He added, “Please use extreme caution on all roadways as  they are may have limbs and leaves covering them and causing them to be slick. Please do not  drive around barriers.
