Heavy rain, severe weather possible Tuesday

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – Heavy rains and severe weather is possible in Southeast Indiana Tuesday. 

A Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio and Switzerland counties until 2 p.m. 

A Flood Watch has also been issued for Dearborn, Franklin, Fayette and Union counties until 8 a.m. Wednesday. 

Several rounds of thunderstorms are expected today and forecasters say damaging wind are possible. 

“Damaging winds, potentially significant, may result in widespread damage and power outages. Isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out,” NWS officials said.

The Storm Prediction Center has listed our region under an Enhanced Risk for severe weather.
