(SOUTHEAST INDIANA) – The heavy rains have led to flooding which is expected to get worse over the next 24 hours.
There are several closed or unpassable roads in Southeast Indiana.
For those traveling down country roads, be aware of possible high water areas that aren’t marked as closed.
We spoke with Meghan Keith of Dearborn County Water Rescue who shared this tip to drivers:
Keith said it is crucial that people do not drive through standing water.
“There is no way to tell what is underneath the water, there could be a log there and it pins your vehicle. It doesn’t take a lot of water to move a car,” she said.
