(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – The Hillforest Historical Foundation is receiving a $1,000 grant from the Dearborn Community Foundation (DCF).
The grant is part of DCF’s annual proactive grant program where each board member selects a nonprofit of their choice.
DCF board member Jon Strautman selected Hillforest as the 1855 mansion is among the National Register of Historic Places.
“This stately mansion is a treasure for the county. It has so many stories of Dearborn County history, offering insights to businesses, industry, and families from our past. My grant is for the general needs of the organization,” said Strautman.
The Hillforest will offer free admission on December 7 and also has some other experiences happening during the holiday season.
