(LAUREL, Ind.) – A fundraiser has been launched specifically for the community of Laurel.
Michelle Spurlock is a lifelong Laurel resident and operates a nonprofit called the Laurel Legacy Foundation.
The foundation was created in 2024 to provide support and development to the community through beautification projects, public spaces upgrades, veterans banners, scholarships and other initiatives.
As a result of the flooring, the nonprofit has established a verified, tax-deductible Go Fund Me page.
Every dollar from this fundraiser will go toward:
Residents of Laurel in need
The Laurel Town Board for community recovery efforts
The Laurel Fire Department for emergency response and rebuilding
The Laurel Police Department public safety and assistance
“Our mission has always been to honor Laurel’s history and strengthen its future. Today, that mission means standing beside our neighbors as they recover from this disaster,” Spurlock said
You can support the Laurel community by accessing the fundraiser through this link.
