Human skeletal remains found in Franklin County

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) -- An investigation is underway after human skeletal remains were found in Franklin County on Friday.

Deputies say they were found in a rural area in the eastern part of the county, but did not specify an exact location.

The Franklin County Coroner was notified and has requested assistance from the University of Indianapolis Human Identification Center Forensic Anthropology Team to aid in the examination and identification of the remains.
