(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – Jerry Ruben Hunt has announced his bid for Franklin County Council District 4.
Hunt says he is running because he believes county government should better reflect the voices of the people it serves.
“Franklin County is full of hardworking, dedicated residents who care deeply about their communities. However, many feel disconnected from county decision-making or unsure how their concerns are being heard,” Hunt said.
He says he will prioritize transparency, accessibility, and listening to the community if elected.
“I want residents to feel informed, respected, and confident that their input matters before decisions are made. The County Council should work with the people, not apart from them,” he said.
Hunt added, “My goal is to help build trust between residents and local government by being present, engaged, and accountable. This campaign is about service, not politics as usual. Together, we can improve communication, strengthen our community, and ensure Franklin County remains a great place to live and work.”
