Hunter education course in Vevay on April 11

(VEVAY, Ind.) – A hunter education course will be held in Vevay on Saturday, April 11. 

It will be held at from 8-6 p.m. at the Switzerland County Tech Building, which is located at 708 West Seminary Street.

The class will be taught by Indiana Conservation Officers who will provide instruction in the areas of safe firearm use and handling while hunting, as well as in the home, hunter ethics and responsibility, game identification, and conservation management. 

There are no age restrictions but any child under 11 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 

Anyone born after December 31, 1986 is required to be certified in Hunter Education before they can purchase a hunting license.
