(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Drivers can expect additional delays on I-74 in Decatur County beginning in late April.
The Indiana Department of Transportation will begin a construction project between County Road 420 and the St. Paul exit.
The construction will include bridge deck overlays, asphalt resurfacing and drainage improvements.
Drivers can expect the following restrictions on I-74 between mile markers 122 and 128 through early July, weather permitting:
Eastbound I-74 traffic will be reduced to one lane and shifted to the right lane of eastbound I-74
Westbound I-74 traffic will be reduced to one lane and shifted to the left lane of eastbound I-74
All westbound I-74 lanes will be closed (traffic shifted to eastbound I-74)
The construction speed limit will be 55 mph
This work is part of a $74.4 million interstate improvement contract awarded to John R. Jurgensen Company in January.
