INDOT: Versailles speed limit will go from 40 to 35MPH

(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – The Indiana Department of Transportation is making a correction to a speed limit change in Versailles. 

Officials initially said the speed limit on U.S. 50 between U.S. 421 and Gaslight Drive will go from 40 miles-per-hour to 30 miles-per-hour.

It will now be less of a decline as the speed will only be dropped to 35 miles-per-hour. 

The reduction is intended to improve safety and establish traffic consistency in the area. 

INDOT is expected to make the speed limit reduction as early as today.
