ISP investigating allegations into former Fayette County Sheriff's employee

Investigation was launched by the Fayette County Sheriffs Office

(CONNERSVILLE, Ind.) – The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says potential misconduct by an employee is being investigated. 

Sheriff Zac Jones is not going into detail but did say once the allegations surfaced the employee was placed on leave and subsequently resigned. 

The sheriff said he contacted the Indiana State Police to oversee an investigation into the allegations. 

Jones added that his office is committed to transparency and accountability and will fully cooperate with the Indiana State Police.
