ISP investigating fatal Jennings County fire

(QUEENSVILLE, Ind.) – The Indiana State Police are investigating a deadly house fire that occurred in the Queensville area of Jennings County.
Firefighters responded to the 4500 Block of North County Road 350 West (Geneva Road) around 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
The body of 33-year-old Kody Perry was located inside the house after the fire was extinguished.
“Detectives and crime scene investigators with the Indiana State Police were called to conduct a joint investigation with detectives from the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office,” said ISP Sgt. Stephen Wheeles.
The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office is currently working to determine the cause of the fire.
The Indiana State Police and Jennings County Sheriff’s Office were assisted by the North Vernon Police Department, Scipio-Geneva Township Fire Department, Jennings County EMS, Jennings County Coroner’s Office, Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Red Cross.
