(OSGOOD, Ind.) – Jac-Cen-Del teachers will have a pay raise as part of a new contract.
The school corporation approved a new two-year contract that resulted in salary increases and expanded benefits.
The agreement includes a total of $5,000 in salary increases spread across the two years of the contract. It also increases the starting teacher salary to $46,000.
“In addition to the pay raise, the corporation will boost its contribution toward employee health insurance, helping offset rising premium costs for teachers and their families,” Superintendent Sam Melton said.
The contract also enhances the corporation’s retirement plan by increasing the percentage contributed on behalf of employees. Melton added that the investment underscores the school’s commitment to long-term educator support and retention.
Melton also noted that the agreement reflects a shared priority of remaining competitive while valuing the work of Jac-Cen-Del’s teachers.
