JCD students learning photography thanks to 2024 Senior Class

Funds given in honor of Carson Hughes

(OSGOOD, Ind.)  – Current and future Jac-Cen-Del students will have the opportunity to learn the skill of photography.

That’s because of the Jac-Cen-Del Class of 2024 who donated $3,000 to the high school art department for the purchase of cameras in honor of Carson Hughes.

There have been 12 cameras purchased which allows every student in the program to have one this year. 

“Each student received either a Nikon or Canon digital camera, lens, shoulder bag, and SD card. They are allowed to use these cameras full time until they return them in May for the next class to use,” said Jac-Cen-Del art teacher Stacy Gray.

The class recently invited Carrison Simon Photography who gave business and technical lessons to the students. 

The parents of Carson, Jason and Mandy, are expected to stop by the class this week. 

“We are so grateful to the 2024 Senior Class for the donation and all of the experienced photography people that have helped us,” Gray added.
