Jennings Co. deputies find meth during traffic stop

(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – Two Kentucky residents were arrested after Jennings County deputies say they found meth during a traffic stop on Saturday.
A deputy stopped a vehicle near the intersection of U.S. 50 and Old U.S. 50 for traffic violation.
It led to a search of the vehicle where deputies say they discovered around 3 grams of methamphetamine.
While deputies were beginning to take the two occupants into custody, the passenger in the car allegedly attempted to run away but was quickly apprehended.
The passenger was identified as 52-year-old Theresa Stivers and she has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Resisting Law Enforcement, and False Identity Statement.
60-year-old Archie Spurr was also arrested for Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
