Kids fishing derby in Lawrenceburg on September 13

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) — A kids fishing derby will be held in Lawrenceburg on Saturday, September 13. 

It will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Casey's Garden & Gifts & Casey's Storage Solutions.

Pre-registration is required and there will only be 50 participants accepted. The cost to register is $5 and children ages 5-14 must be accompanied by an adult. 

“Participants must bring their own fishing poles. Bait will be provided by Casey’s. Volunteers will be on hand for anyone needing assistance,” organizers said. 

Trophies will be awarded for the 1st Catch, Largest Catch, & Most Caught. All fish must be thrown back into Casey’s pond. There will be free food provided afterward.
