Kiwanis hosts National Day of Prayer in Batesville

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – More than 50 people attended the National Day of Prayer event in Batesville on Thursday.
The outdoor service took place at the Southeastern Indiana YMCA.
It included a performance by the Batesville Singers and St. Johns United Church of Christ Rev. Joey Feldman led the prayers.
The event was organized by the Batesville Kiwanis and was sponsored by the Southeastern Indiana YMCA, Batesville Area Ministerial Group, the Lions and Rotary, and the City of Batesville.
The National Day of Prayer was enacted by Congress in 1952 and takes place on the first Thursday of May.
