(NASHVILLE, TN.) – Two local musicians have co-wrote a new country song.
Aurora native Kristine Kabbes and fellow Dearborn County resident Rick Lane, who is a member of Dermody Lane, wrote the song “Cowboys” that will be released May 22.
Kabbes now resides in Nashville and is the lead singer of the Kristine Kabbes & The Skallywags.
She describes the new single as fun and flirty and says it's all about cowboys, boots and Wrangler jeans.
“The song blends playful female energy with a radio-friendly summertime country sound, perfect for Memorial weekend playlists,” Kabbes told The 812.
There are some accomplished instrumentalists who are on the single as well!
Former Toby Keith and current Aaron Lewis band member Dave McAfee plays the drums.
Former Toby Keith and current Lee Greenwood band member Dave Smith plays guitar.
Kristine’s husband, Mike Dittmer, plays the bass on the song as well.
The pre-save link for the song is here and it will be available for download on May 22.
