Late night shooting in Brookville injures one, another in custody

Happened around midnight

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – The Brookville Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred late Wednesday night. 

The incident happened on High Street around 12 a.m.,  the same time as severe storms moved through the area 

One victim was rushed to University of Cincinnati Hospital where their current condition is unknown. 

Investigators added that a suspect was taken into custody. The identity of the suspect was not released.

There is no ongoing threat to the public. 

Brookville Police were assisted during the incident by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Letts EMS.
