Laurel woman accused of meth possession after traffic stop

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – A Laurel woman is facing drug charges after a traffic stop near Buena Vista on Sunday, May 24.
A Franklin County deputy pulled over the vehicle for an alleged equipment violation involving a loud exhaust system on Stipps Hill Road.
The driver was identified as 42-year-old Amanda Geary and the deputy said she showed behavior that led to a further investigation.
“As a result of the investigation, suspected methamphetamine and alleged drug paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle,” according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.
Geary was jailed on a preliminary charge of Possession of Methamphetamine.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
