Lawrenceburg 8U softball team having great season

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A Lawrenceburg-based youth softball team is off to a strong start this season. 

The 8U 2 Out Storm team is ranked #14 in the Indiana USSSA rankings and competed in a tournament this past weekend. 

Coaches say they beat the #4 and #15 ranked teams in Indiana and made it all the way to the championship. They ended up losing by one run to the top-ranked team in Illinois. 

The young team now has a season record of 24-3. They have also had success in other tournaments in various states.
