Lawrenceburg announces essay contest winners

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – The City of Lawrenceburg is announcing the winners of their annual Christmas essay contest.
The contest is for third, fourth and fifth graders and the theme this year was Winter Wonderland.
Mayor Kelly Mollaun said he read more than 300 essays and stated, "The essays submitted this year were a joy to read!”
The winners from each grade received their essay framed along with gift cards that ranged from: 1st place $100, 2nd place $50, 3rd place $25.
Here are the winners
3rd Grade:
1st place - Harrison Marqua
2nd place - Mavis Branson
3rd place - Carter Hornsby
4th Grade:
1st place - Camden Wurtzler
2nd place - Abigail Moyer
3rd place - Connor McCoy
5th Grade:
1st place - Nyla McAlister
2nd place - Jerico Armosa Welch-Milovale
3rd place - Shelby Owings
