Joint exercise with Ohio agencies

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – Lawrenceburg firefighters are staying prepared for incidents that involve rescuing a victim from water.
The fire department participated in a joint training exercise with other agencies on the Whitewater River.
The training comes at a time when the fire department’s Rescue 4 has responded to nine water incidents in the past few weeks.
“These trainings assist us to better sharpen and refine our skills for incidents, as we also respond alongside other departments to all county water rescue calls,” said Lawrenceburg Fire Division Chief of Training Cody Ratliff.
Lawrenceburg was among 12 agencies who participated in the training. Some other agencies included the Cincinnati Fire Department, Miami Township and Hamilton County Urban Search and Rescue.
