Lawrenceburg grad recognized for Notre Dame midseason stats

(SOUTH BEND, Ind.) – Lawrenceburg graduate Ashton Craig is listed among the best offensive lineman in the country. 

Craig is the starting center for Notre Dame and is a fifth year senior. 

He’s been named to the Rimington Trophy midseason watch list. That trophy is given annually to the most outstanding center in NCAA Division football. 

The selection committee partners with Pro Football Focus (PFF) to grade every player on every play of every game during the season. That play-by-play grading has led Craig to being named to the watch list. 

Craig was also on the watch list last year before he suffered a season-ending injury. 

He has started at center every game as the Irish has a 6-0 record and ranked #2 in the nation.
