(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – Lawrenceburg native Nick Goepper has secured an Olympic qualification for the fourth time.
Goepper earned the qualification in halfpipe following the World Cup in Calgary on Saturday.
The 31-year-old is a three-time Olympic medalist in slopestyle, having won bronze in 2014 and silver medals in 2018 and 2022.
He retired from freeskiing in 2023 but reinvented himself by competing in the discipline of halfpipe.
Goepper will compete in the U.S. men’s halfpipe team at the Milano Winter Olympics next month. It runs from February 6-22 in Northern Italy.
Outside of the Olympics, Goepper has won two silver and five gold medals in slopestyle at the Winter X Games.
