(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – Family and friends are mourning the unexpected loss of a Lawrenceburg teenager.
18-year-old Autumn Lewis suffered what is believed to have been a seizure which caused her to have a fatal fall on Tuesday night.
“Her passing was sudden and devastating to our family, friends, and everyone who knew her,” her mother, Kayla Partee, said.
Autumn attended Lawrenceburg Schools since she was in kindergarten and had recently transitioned to virtual learning for her senior year this year.
"She just finished classes to test for her high school equivalency test. She went to Lawrenceburg her whole life, even grew up at Little Red Academy," her mom mentioned.
We spoke with one classmate who described Autumn as the sweetest and funniest girl you’d ever meet.
“She never failed to be there for those around her. She had the biggest heart and a positive energy people gravitated toward. She had such a beautiful, kind soul and always made an impression without even trying,” the Lawrenceburg senior told The 812.
That student added, "We lost a Lawrenceburg Tiger, a friend, and a sister to Tigers, and I think the family needs help."

Autumn's family never expected that they would be planning her funeral this week.
“We are working to give Autumn the memorial she deserves,” her mom told The 812.
A family friend has created a fundraiser with all proceeds going toward her funeral expenses and celebration of life.
“She brought so much love, laughter, and light to everyone who knew her. Her kindness, beautiful spirit, and the memories she created with friends and family will never be forgotten,” organizers said.
Funeral arrangements have not been yet announced. You can access the Go Fund Me fundraiser by clicking here.
