Lawrenceburg to celebrate America's 250th anniversary Saturday

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – The City of Lawrenceburg will celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary on Saturday, April 25.
This free event will begin at 4 p.m. with opening ceremonies and that will be followed by a special presentation from Vietnam veteran PG Gentrup and the Southeast Indiana Honor Guard.
“The day will be filled with delicious local food, music, cornhole, carnival rides for the kids & the Splash Pad will be open,” organizers said.
Lawrenceburg city staff and first responders will also be serving food to the community.
Here is the schedule of events:
4:00 pm – 5:30 pm – Enjoy your favorite grilled items, mac & cheese, chips and cookies
4:00 pm – 8:00pm – Kids activities
4:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Cornhole (free play, no tournament)
4:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Carnival rides
5:00 pm – Mayor presents Lawrenceburg Legacy Awards (2 this year) & raffle #1 giveaway
5:30 pm – Food line begins shutting down
6:00 pm – Raffle #2 giveaway & Honor George E Klopp Sr – 100 years old
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Music by Cincinnati Brass Band
7:00 pm – Thank you from the Mayor, raffle #3 giveaway & Grand Prize giveaway: City of Lawrenceburg Corn Hole Set, Blackstone Grill Set, Igloo Cooler, Chairs, Wagon & $50.00 Main Street Market gift card
8:15 pm – 8:45 pm Golf cart parade – 3 top golf cart winners will receive a gift card – $200 (1st), $100 (2nd) & $50 (3rd)
8:45 pm/9:00 pm – Drone show & fireworks will begin
