(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati/Southeastern Indiana has received a generous donation.
They have been presented with a $14,500 check from the Southeastern Indiana Board of Realtors (SEIBR).
The money was raised during the SIEBR Installation Dinner when Big Brothers Big Sisters was selected as the recipient of their silent auction.
Big Brothers Big Sisters vice president of community engagement John Sheldon along with Rachel Reynolds spoke about the organization’s mission during the dinner.
The funds will directly support mentoring programs in Southeast Indiana. Currently, Big Brothers Big Sisters offers both site-based and community-based mentoring programs in the region.
These flexible options are designed to accommodate varying schedules and ensure that time or financial constraints do not prevent individuals from becoming mentors, known as “Bigs.”
Big Brothers Big Sisters is always seeking adult mentors who are interested in making a positive, lasting impact in a child’s life.
Those interested in learning more about the organization or its programs are encouraged to visit www.bigsforkids.org.
In addition, Big Brothers Big Sisters will host its annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser on Sunday, April 19, at Durbin Bowl in Lawrenceburg.
This event serves as the primary fundraiser for the organization’s southeastern Indiana programs.
