(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Several local communities are receiving state funds for infrastructure projects.
Governor Mike Braun announced more than $84 million in Community Crossings matching grants to 147 communities across Indiana.

“Indiana is the crossroads of America and Hoosiers rely on our strong roads and infrastructure to drive economic growth and strong communities,” said Gov. Mike Braun. “I was proud to co-author the Community Crossings program when I was in the General Assembly because it encourages skin in the game from local communities and that will always generate better results.”
Cities, towns and counties submitted applications during a call for projects last October. Submissions from the previous call were used to determine additional awards.
It brings the 2026 total from the Community Crossing grant program to $165 million for local road and bridge projects.
