(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Congresswoman Erin Houchin (R-District 9) has announced four local infrastructure projects have passed through the full House Appropriations Committee.
One of those is a $562,500 project to replace the shared wastewater treatment and disposal system that serves Moorefield in Switzerland County.
“Reliable infrastructure is essential to keeping our communities strong and supporting future growth,” said Rep. Houchin. “These projects address important local priorities, from upgrading aging wastewater systems to expanding sewer capacity and improving stormwater management.
The other projects is a $1M wastewater system in Borden, $1M to expand sewer service in Greenville, and $540,000 to replace aging stormwater pipe along U.S. 31 in Austin.
The projects must still pass the full House of Representatives, the United States Senate, and be signed into law before funding is finalized.
