(ST. LEON, Ind.) – A local senior photoshoot is shining a light on those going into healthcare careers.
Cyprus Photography captured the images of East Central graduate Chloe Hensley and current student Madilyn Airgood.
Hensley is the former Dearborn County Fair Queen and will be attending IU to major in nursing.
“My passion for nursing began long before I knew what career I wanted to pursue. When I was five years old, I lost my grandmother, Mimi, to breast cancer. She was a nurse whose compassion and selflessness left a lasting impact on everyone around her,” Hensley told The 812.
Chloe says she hopes to honor her grandmother’s legacy by providing the same kindness and compassion that Mimi showed as a nurse.
Cyprus Photography is owned by Amanda Sitterding who created the photographs for the Batesville Area Arts Council.

“This piece explores the idea that healing is never one-sided. Set within nature, a nurse and patient rest together against a tree, both with their faces covered to create a sense of universality —allowing the viewer to see themselves within the scene,’ Sitterding said.
She added, “Though one is seen as the healer and the other the one being healed, the image suggests that both rely on one another, and that in caring for others, we often find healing within ourselves.”
