(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – A new option will soon be available at local state parks for people who have limited mobility.
There will soon be track chairs available at places such as Versailles State Park, Whitewater Memorial State Park and Clifty Falls.
A track chair is an all-terrain, electric-powered wheelchair that helps people with limited mobility safely explore rugged, off-road environments.
They will be be free to use and were purchased through a $1 million Lilly Endowment grant in an effort to support development and upgrades across the Indiana State Park system.
