(SEYMOUR, Ind.) – A local Indiana State Trooper helped an elderly man this week.
A call came in about a reckless driver on I-65 and Trooper Tia Hunt found the vehicle in Scott County and initiated a traffic stop.
The driver was an older man who appeared to be disoriented and confused.
Tpr. Hunt says the man thought he was driving toward Lafayette, however, was headed southbound.
She stayed with the man as she searched for emergency contact information for him.
“She eventually located contact information for his wife and son through the BMV. She transported him to a local hospital for evaluation while waiting for family to respond to care for him,” ISP Sgt. Stephen Wheeles said.
The elderly man was eventually medically cleared and reunited with his family.
