Longtime Langen Meats butcher retires after 48 years

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A long-time Langen Meats employee is retiring after 48 years on the job. 

Michael Justice began working as a butcher while he was in high school in Northern Kentucky. 

He started working for Langen Meats in Cincinnati when the company opened the Batesville location. 

Justice would spend four decades in Batesville and Greensburg before officially retiring on Friday.

He said the best part of the job has never changed, which has been interacting with the customers, many of whom have become close friends.
