Man charged with molesting, incest in Jennings County

(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – A North Vernon man is behind bars after police say he sexually abused and gave methamphetamine to two children. 

The Jennings County Sheriff’s Department launched an investigation after a 16-year-old and a 13-year-old reported the alleged sexual acts to a child advocacy center. 

Investigators say 48-year-old Michael Kuhlman confirmed details consistent with the sexual allegations against him.

Police said Kuhlman also admitted that he provided methamphetamine and alcohol to the juveniles. 

Kuhlman has been arrested and charged with Child Molesting, Incest, Sexual Battery and Dealing Methamphetamine. 

Investigators did not disclose what type of biological relationship there is between the suspect and the victims.

The Jennings County Sheriff's Department added that the case remains an active investigation.
