Man jailed after shots fired in Franklin County

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – A Cincinnati man was arrested after a report of shots fired in Franklin County on Sunday.
Deputies responded around 7 p.m. to Whitcomb Road near Kunkel Road after a witness heard gunshots.
The witness said the shots came from a blue van which was later located at Fox Run Campground.
Deputies said they found shell casings and a rifle that are believed to be involved in the incident.
24-year-old Logan Rowlett was arrested on a preliminary charge Criminal Recklessness and police say they also found marijuana.
“Deputies also conducted follow-up checks in the surrounding area to ensure no injuries or property damage had occurred,” the sheriff's office said.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and the Laurel Police Department.
