Man with possible ties to area charged with rape in NKY

Accused of raping unconcious woman

(VILLA HILLS, KY.) -- A Northern Kentucky man accused of rape is believed to have connections to Southeast Indiana.

Investigators say 68-year-old Robert Denham had intercourse with a woman who was unconscious at a home in Crescent Springs, Kentucky.

Denham allegedly has paid the woman for sex before and had picked her up from Price Hill and took her to his home on Tuesday, according to court documents.

Police say he admitted to having intercourse with her while she "did not move, was dead weight, was not speaking and appeared to be incoherent."

According to court documents, Denham had asked his cousin to help lift her into bed after she had fallen out, when the cousin said she was not breathing correctly, and that Denham should call 9-1-1.

She was later taken to a hospital where staff believed her medical condition was caused by an overdose.

The hospital also labeled her as "Jane Doe" due to a lack of identification.

Her current condition is not known.

Denham was booked into the Kenton County Dentention Center on a charge of rape.

Authorities say they are unsure if this was an isolated incident or if there are more victims.

Denham is believed to have spent a good amount of time in Southeast Indiana, those familiar with the suspect told The 812.

Anyone who thinks they might be a victim is asked to call the Villa Hills Police Department at (859) 341-3535.
