Metamora VFD receives grant from Franklin County Community Foundation

(METAMORA, Ind.) – The Metamora Volunteer Fire Department is receiving a grant from the Franklin County Community Foundation.

The grant will go toward the purchase of a new SCBA air compressor and fill station.

“This equipment will allow our firefighters to refill SCBA cylinders used during fires, training, and other emergency operations, helping ensure our members have the equipment and breathing air they need when responding to emergencies,” the department stated. 

Department officials are expressing their appreciation to the community foundation for investing in the agency and the community.

“Projects like this are a significant investment for a small volunteer department, and support from organizations like FCCF makes a real difference in our ability to serve our community safely and effectively,” the department added.
