Michaela Farm Education Center grand opening set for Feb. 22

Attendees are encouraged to RSVP

(OLDENBURG, Ind.) – The Greenacres Foundation will celebrate the grand opening of the Michaela Farm Education Center on February 22.

It will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at 21171 St Mary's Road in Batesville.

Since becoming a Greenacres campus in 2021, Michaela Farm has honored the rich agricultural and community legacy established by the Sisters of Saint Francis in Oldenburg.

Greenacres now offers free field trips to students in an effort to provide hands-on experience in agriculture, conservation and environmental science.

The new Education Center will serve as a hub for K–12 programming, summer camps, and community events, offering learning experiences aligned with state and national standards.

“Whether it’s helping students connect with the natural world or learning about generative agriculture, the Michaela Farm Education Center will serve as a cornerstone for growth and learning in the region.” said Scott Wingate, Greenacres Chief Programming Officer.

RSVPs are encouraged as space is limited. Click here to secure a time slot.

To schedule a field trip or for questions, contact education@green-acres.org or (513) 715-0482.
