Roell won the inaugural IHSAA Girls Wrestling state title last weekend

(MILAN, Ind.) – The Town of Milan has designated January 24 as ‘Kayla Roell Day.’
Roell won the IHSAA Girls Wrestling State Championship during the first-ever girls tournament last Friday.
She competed in the 120-pound weight class and stood at the top of the podium after beating a wrestler from McCutcheon.
Roell was welcomed back with a firetruck escort into town following the victory last weekend.
Kayla isn’t just a state champion wrestler. She has also made a name for herself on the race track.
