Milan senior to play college softball in Chicago

(MILAN, Ind.) – Milan senior Kynadee Bode is used to playing softball in Southeast Indiana but will soon be taking her talents to a much larger city! 

The softball standout has announced her commitment to play softball at the University of Illinois Chicago. 

Bode credited her parents and family for their sacrifices and helping her get to where she is today. She also thanked her teammates and said there is nobody else she would rather have by her side. 

She added, “Coaches can be the best or worst parts of sports, and thankfully I have been blessed with some of the best coaches in the business. Of course my favorite coach of all has been my dad!”

During her junior year, she pitched to a 2.74 ERA and had a 19-8 record. She has been named All-State all three years.

She also had a .674 batting average with 10 home runs and 58 RBI as a junior.
